Tragically, most people are totally unaware that they are only a few weeks of discipline away from being able to comfortably maintain healthful dietary habits, and to keep away from the products that can result in the destruction of their health. Instead, most people think that if they were to eat more healthfully, they would be condemned to a life of greatly reduced gustatory pleasure. This is an extraordinarily deceptive and problematic situation that I describe as a pleasure trap. - Dr. Doug Lisle
After I did a tremendous amount of research, I "stumbled" on Dr. Doug Lisle's book The Pleasure Trap. His observation above is absolutely correct. When approached properly ... (satiety & taste) - identify foods with health benefits that taste great ... our taste buds change. Slowly, but surely, you can move away from the foods that create havoc with your weight and health. However, you must give it at least thirty days. Of course, the longer you do this, the easier it gets and you will never return to those horrific foods. When this approach is used, there is no willpower required and you will not feel deprived.
